Transthyretin-58 histidine to leucine (amyloid polyneuropathy Maryland type amyloid polyneuropathy Mahloudji type, familial amyloid polyneuropathy type IIA) is one type of amyloid polyneuropathy. It resembles familial amyloid polyneuropathy type II clinically, but the mutation in the TTR gene that encodes for a mutant transthyretin with a histidine substitution for leucine at position 58 (H58L).
