A colloid carcinoma is special type of carcinoma that produces abundant mucin. It can arise in the pancreas [carcinoma - pancreas] and breast [carcinoma - breast]. Colloid carcinoma of the breast is an uncommon type of breast carcinoma that occurs in older women. It has a better prognosis that the infiltrating ductal carcinoma [carcinoma - infiltrating ductal] .
