Thymoma

Tumors of the thymus include several benign neoplasms (medullary thymoma [thymoma - medullary], mixed/composite thymoma [thymoma - mixed/composite]) and malignant tumors (cortical thymoma [thymoma - cortical], well-differentiated thymic carcinoma [carcinoma - well-differentiated thymic], squamous carcinoma [carcinoma - squamous cell], basaloid carcinoma [carcinoma - basaloid], mucoepidermoid carcinoma [carcinoma - mucoepidermoid], lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma [carcinoma - lymphoepithelioma-like], clear cell carcinoma [carcinoma - clear cell], sarcomatoid carcinoma [carcinoma - sarcomatoid]. small cell/neuroendocrine carcinoma [carcinoma -small cell/neuroendocrine], and anaplastic carcinoma [carcinoma - anaplastic] . A thymoma may be associated with myasthenia gravis or Good syndrome.
